The District Social Development Officer, Mr. Wisdom Bakuyeya pointed out that, there was the urgent need for the support to enable the benefactors go about their duties with relief adding that such interventions are available but are exercised only when there is the need for it.

He mentioned that one of the benefactors, Madam Mary Cudjoe who is a resident of Azuleloanu needed an urgent replacement of her wheelchair which had broken for years thereby restricting her movement.

He added that, Madam Mary appealed to the Honourable District Chief Executive which necessitated the emergency support to her.

Presenting the wheelchair to Madam Mary, the Honourable District Chief Executive, Kwasi Bonzoh urged her to use the gesture and the cash donation to make life meaningful for herself and people around her as she had earlier been schooled in soap making.

He again urged Mr. Francis Anaman, a student at the Charlotte Dolphyne Vocational Institute who is an ICT student and benefitted from a laptop to use it well to serve as a motivation to other physically challenged youths so that they can be self-dependent to be useful to society.

Madam Mary thanked Honourable Bonzoh for his prompt intervention and added that the donation has equipped her to carry on with her soap business without stress.

She assured him that her usefulness with such a gesture will extend to other abled youths in her community as she will engage them in the soap making business to lessen the unemployment burden of the District.
